Actually, 345 is a YF-84F, and 828 is the YRF-84F. Note the old style canopy
from the Thunderjet. The YF-84F was originally the YF-96, before it was
redesignated. This is the second prototype, testing the wingroot inlets.
But, it was decided that it wasn't as efficient as the nose mounted inlet.
They had no choice with the YRF-84F.
