At those upper latitudes, both gravity and the coriolis effect are
significantly less, therefore excess rope is not required. ;-)
Similarly, Cessna 172's are sufficient for tows...since 182's are for
high altitude tours. :-))

They had a 200ft rope.
It is interesting how the media gets so much wrong in the daily rags.
The 172 is still anemic, however 1/2 tanks and a 4,000 ft paved
runway it gets 400fpm.
Would be better if it had a climb prop.
