We didn't know what to expect from Bob Carlton and his exclusive retractable
twin jet engine pylon, the Alisport Silent-J jet sailplane, during the Blue
Angel's Homecoming Airshow night program. Well, he did both classic
sailplane aerial ballet and screamin' low-level jet aerobatics with a trail
of sparkles following the wingtips. It was pretty awesome!! Tom

I've seen this guy and he is awesome. If it's the same guy, not only does
he fly an amazing routine, he gets back in his wheelchair afterward. I dare
anyone to call him handicapped.

Here's a link to the site. I got to the transient line just after he took
off for his routine and was gone back to the center of the runway before he
taxied in. So, I didn't meet him. You are right though, the show is great,

Looking at the link you provided, I realize this isn't the guy I thought he
was.

I think I have two performers combined. I do think Mr. Buchanan is the one
I was thinking of, but the sailplane demonstration I was thinking of was
Manfred Radius, another master of non-powered flight.
