Anyone have any experience with the Vertex Standard VXA-300 Pilot III
air band transceiver? I have seen conflicting comments after Googling it.

I've got one and I love it! Don't know why anyone would have anything
bad to say about it. Very solid construction. Crystal clear audio when
receiving with plenty of volume to spare. Everyone that has heard me
transmit indicates good clear transmissions as well. It's user-
friendly enough, but I wouldn't want to try programming it while
flying. Although not many radios are easy in that respect.

I have it. I love it. Nothing else to add.

I have a VXA-300 Pilot III and an Icom IA22 .
Several years on the Icom, one year on the Vertex.

I prefer the Vertex though I like the Icom too.
