View Full Version : A new private pilot
Dallas
November 30th 07, 03:08 PM
Yesterday, at 18:55 CST I got the handshake and the piece of paper.
I wish to sincerely thank all the pilots here and over at
rec.aviation.student for all the help you've given me over the past 24
months. The quality of the information you can get here is far above
anything any one flight school could possibly give. It was a lucky day for
me when I found these groups.
Thanks!

Way to go, Dallas -- aren't these groups great? I've often said
that I've learned ten times more about flying from the folks here than
in all my years hanging around airports.
It won't be long, now, and you'll be flying into Oshkosh with us!

Congrats. It's a great feeling when you don't have to ask "mom" or
"dad" for permission to fly anymore!
I kept dreading having to go back and get yet another 90 endorsement.
Now, those days are over for you too.

OK! I'll get in my 150 and get started at the end of February. That
should give me enough time to get there by July.
Hey Jay, the only regret I have is that your kid beat me to the ticket...

Simple Dallas my man, you go flying.
But this time it doesn't matter were you go, or what you do. I would highly
recommend a site seeing tour. And if you ever wind up in Ponca City, I
recommend their mexican food at the airport.

Don't worry about losing the race -- it's a marathon, not a sprint...
