View Full Version : New DG?

December 21st 07, 06:51 PM
I received (as well as many of you) an email from DG yesterday with
Christmas and New Year wishes. http://www.dg-flugzeugbau.de/christmas-e.html
There was included a picture of DG 1000 and a new RED DG. Looking at
this picture, I arrived to a conclusion that I would like to fly the
RED DG. I think the take-offs might be really spontaneous, cruise and
landings very soft and smooth. But is this possible that the RED DG
comes as a perk with a purchase of any new DG 1000? I think I could
even convince my wife that owning a DG 1000 and the RED DG might be
very beneficial. Am I wrong? Merry Christmas and Happy (1000 km) New
Year to you.

And to you, Jacek--and good luck with the wife.

Dare we comment on the relationship to AoA? Probably not.

Hmmm... a not so subtle attempt to sell pictures of
scantily clad young women by association with gliders
in suggestive poses.

I confess--I'm a fool for a glider in a suggestive pose.

I want to be there when you explain your idea to your wife.
Happy Holidays,

I was informed by the factory that my new DG-1000T was test-flown
yesterday in Germany. I am sure that the "Red" DG is part of the
"special upgrade" options package I purchased, and that the DG-1000T
in the background is likely mine.

I plan to keep her in my guest cottage and bring her out for special
occasions. The other one goes into my hangar on Marfa Airport, west
Texas, USA, and I'll bring her out for special soaring days - like
most every day at Marfa - and for the "soaring safaris" around the USA
that I'm planning over the next few summers.

Y'all come visit! As our Marfa Gliders motto states: "We'll show you
a good time!"

Kathy's specialty is training dogs. She has Burt under control.

Ran that concept by the crew chief last night. Anyone ever slept in
the garage in the middle of winter? It really is cold out here...

Anybody not able to keep their RED DGs due to crew chief conflicts, please
forward them all to me. I figure by the time I "fall off my twig", there
may not be any more "72-virgin" packages left, I have a heated garage and am
willing to take my chances. Uh, who's that? . . . Oh, hi Honey, . . . no
this was just a joke, Ouch!, don't hit me with that! . . . look I wasn't
going to send it, . . . . see, I'll just hit the delete key . . .
