Old Farmer Lang wanted to get out of the farming business and start an
antique farm implements business. To do this, he wanted to put up a lighted
sign advertising the business, but was told that the county zoning ordinance
prohibited signs on agriculturially zoned land. The zoning board granted
him a variance on the condition that he put some sort of blinds on the sign
to keep the light from annoying the neighbors. The minutes of the meeting
thus:

Should old ag quaintness be forgot and never brought to light
Should old ag quaintness be forgot with shades on Old Lang's sign
For Old Lang's sign, my boys
For Old Lang's sign
We'll take a vote and rock the boat
And we'll put up Old Lang's sign.

Happy 2008 to all...

Jim

Just when I think your "groaners" can't get any "groanier" you manage to top
yourself, again! <g>

Happy New Year to you, and yours, also!

I'm looking forward to OSH '08, Jim, just so I can give you a noogie
(and your bride a kiss) for posting something so God-awful as this....
