The Aero-club of Bas-Armagnac is pleased to welcoming you for the
second Prix International de Gascogne that will take place in Nogaro,
at the heart of Gascony in south-west France, on May 2nd to 10th,
2008, counting for the official ranking of all glider pilots in the
world, the IGC Pilot Ranking List (see
http://www.fai.org/gliding/rankings/displaycomps2.php?champid=220)
Nogaro is a small town in Gascony, homeland of d'Artagnan and his
three Musketeers, famous for its gastronomy, foie gras and its
"Armagnac" brandy... and for its aeroclub ! The Prix International de
Gascogne aims to be a major soaring event where high level pilots from
everywhere who appreciate the South-West of France may meet each two
years and fight together in a fierce but ever friendly atmosphere.
Tasks are mainly IGC-like Racing tasks but with regatta starts and the
length of the task is proportional to the glider handicap, so that the
first to cross the finish line is the winner, even with different
glider performances.
Please consult our website http://grandprixdegascogne.free.fr/ and
feel free to contact us for registering or any info...
