Michael,

I wish I knew the answer to your question. I have never been involved with
a multiple-tow. However, I know that towing 2 or 3 gliders at a time are
common in Europe. Back in 1965 I was flying a A-3B on a low-level flight in
the south of France and had a "near-miss" with a tow plane towing two
gliders.

Here is another picture. It shows 9 Blanik L-13s being towed at once.
