I am surprised that you didn't find a builder home page. I have had
one for several years now and it is fairly easy to find by a Google
Search. In any case, check it out at:
www.kisbuild.onfinal18.com
It has hundreds (thousands?) of construction photos from many
different builders along with a lot of helpful hints. It also covers
the TR-1 two place.
If you have any specific questions, I would be happy to try and answer
them. We also have a listserve users group of builders that can
answer all of your questions.

By the way, there is a partially build kit on the market right now.
The builder was one of the best but is being forced to sell because of
family health problems and they need to sell in order to move. If you
are interested, I will put you in contact. The price is right and so
is the quality.

Due to french rules, it's not possible to buy partly done kit, unless
the wing is not done....

I know for a fact that the wings have been closed out on this kit so I
guess that would be a problem. I don't have knowledge of any other
started kits for sale with the wings not complete.
Hope the rest of the information on my website were of use.

Shouldn't this read "according to French law/regulations, one can't
REGISTER &C &C" ? If the project was of any interest to you, I imagine
you could acquire and complete it, and fly it on the US register? This
is common practice for IFR PPL flyers here in Belgium, I can't imagine
why it couldn't be done for an experimental. Unusual it would be, yes
indeed.
On the other hand, I can't imagine this being an attractive offer for
you, the cost of transatlantic shipping would be disproportionate to the
price.
