View Full Version : LNAV version 4.3 manual needed

April 6th 08, 05:11 AM
Since my post of March 27 about my flaky LNAV, I was able to purchase
a used one, but it is version 4.3 software, and I only have version
5.8's manual. Does anyone have a manual for 4.3 or know how to change
the configuration?

If so, I need to know how to get to the configuration screen --
holding the GO and right arrow for 3 seconds like in 5.8 does not do
it! Once there, I also need to know how to:

* change the polar, unless it's the same as 5.8 (best L/D, speed for
that, and speed for 2 m/sec sink rate), and

* change from Alt Required (current setting) to Alt Difference (my
preferred setting).

I also didn't see any wind computation screens as I used the left and
right arrows. Did 4.3 not compute wind when connected to a GPS?

Many thanks for any help, and hoping that CAI gets its situation
straightened out very soon. I've heard from several people that that
is likely. So I'm waiting for good news on that front.

IIRC, you hold down the GO key for 3sec at power up.

Polar entry is the same.

Differential Alt selection is obvious.

Upgrade to latest version would require a board change. I do
recommend it, if the upgrade is still available.
