View Full Version : US mountain flying Colorado

April 12th 08, 01:16 AM
Interesting reading about mountain training and mountain flying
(gliders) in France. Thank you for posting the questions and
answers.

Several times a year, some of the Colorado Soaring clubs
re-locate to mountain airports to fly for the weekend...
often Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July and Labor Day weekends.

Salida, Buena Vista, Fremont County (Canon City), Craig, Creed,
Leadville (9927 MSL) and Cortez, Colorado have interesting mountain
flying characteristics.

Come on out and join us!

I can offer mountain flying in airplanes, yours or ours, if you
want to first experience the mountain wave in an airplane rather
than a glider.

Best regards,

Jer/ "Flight instruction and mountain flying are my vocations!"
