A Thunderbolt P-47II of No 134 Squadron taxies out onto a
flooded airstrip in Burma late in a 1944 monsoon. This was the
heaviest single-engine fighter at that time; as can be seen, it
needed a very deep fuselage to accommodate the supercharger and
ducting.
