I am pleased to announce the IGC-approval of two new types of GNSS
Flight Recorder, with
effect from 25 April 2008. These are the LX8000 and LX8000F from LX
Navigation (www.lxnavigation.si). The IGC-approval document will
appear on the FAI gliding/GNSS web pages shortly.
This brings the number of IGC-approved recorder types to 39, from 14
different manufacturers. For all of the existing IGC-approval
documents, see:
http://www.fai.org/gliding/system/files/igc_approved_frs.pdf
This contains a link to a document with a table of all types of IGC-
approved Flight Recorders, a table of Manufacturers, a list of all IGC-
approval activity since 1996, and a short history of IGC GNSS Flight
Recording. An updated version of this PDF document adding the new IGC-
approval has been sent to the webmaster and will also appear shortly.
However, please note that the links to the individual IGC-approval
documents in the above PDF document do not work in Internet Explorer.
Links have therefore been added to the bottom of the page when you
first go to:
http://www.fai.org/gliding/gnss
At the bottom of the gliding/gnss page, there are links to the
following documents, and the new IGC-approval will be added shortly:
