any one a in teh area able to confirm for me some warbird displays at Sioux
City airport.
I've heard of a couple of A-7 F-84, A F100 and T33 and F-16 but when I look
on google maps it blocks me from getting a closse look.
It's about 2 hours from where my brother lives so could give me a good
excuse to make a day trip ;-)

Try Live Search Maps, bird's eye view, MacArthur Street.

Here's a shot I got using a program called USAPhotoMaps. Hard telling when
it was actually taken though.

I don't know if I would put that much faith in
those results. I looked up a couple of locations
and I know that the image was at least five years
old in one case, older in another. Maybe a phone
call to the airport would be productive?

Glenn, there is an Air National Guard base right next to the airport.
Just inside the main gate is a display of at least 6 or 7 aircraft.
I have seen them from the highway (I-29) many times. I have been by the
airport and did not see any displayed there on the civvies side.
There is a tanker squadron there and an F16 squadron or 2.

Cheers, Jim

Thanks Jim, I had a closer look armed with your informatin and I can see
exactly what you were saying now.
That's a bugger, I have to go through hurdles to get into bases :-)

Still, nice aircraft and not far from my brothers, so I may just try and go
the extra yard.
worked for Grissom ( I think, haven't heard back from them in a bit over a
week)
