As usual, outstanding and imaginative, Glenn.

As an aside, I wonder how many people know that in that wheel-bay there
lurks (or should do) a starting handle? Some Hurricanes, if not all, had
emergency inertia starters.

Is there some cowl missing from around the radiator?

I think it's the effect of the half-black half-white undersurface colour

You're probably right. Magnifying that part several times makes it
clearer, but that bit sticking down at the back looks out of place.

Don't think I've been this close to a Hurricane before <G>

Not just the Mustang, but every aircraft with radiators - Spitfire, 109,
Typhoon, Mosquito etc. - has radiator flaps to regulate the airflow.

That first shot makes it clearer - obviously an airflow regulator.
Thanks Glen
