If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will
scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will
refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something
which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he
will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is
explained in this way. - Bertrand Russell

I thought you left.

Is the Pilots of America forums so slow, that you have dedicated you life to
spamming for them?

I can assure you, if you will just shut the **** up, there will always be
plenty of expertise on the RA* groups that your services will not be missed.
We did just fine before you came, we will be just fine "IF" you ever leave.

You need to work on you own sense of self worth. You have way too much of
it.

At the moment, New Jersey, but that's temporary. As soon as I get things
wrapped up here, I'll be heading to warmer climes to join my brand-new
husband.

Thank you, Bertie. I'm very happy (except for being 1600 miles away from
my favorite person).

I appreciate the sheer thoughtfulness of your proposed gift, but my
household currently consists of two cats, three kittens, a red-eared
slider and a hooded rat...not to mention my daughter.

IOW, I don't think I can handle any more pets at the moment.

Blue is my favorite color.

I'll check with my husband. Perhaps after I move, we can use him as a
cat bed.

He just has unconventional ideas as to what constitutes 'communication'

I've never seen you post anything other than jealous simpering

I have to wonder how you would ever fare as a pilot.
any irritation causes a mindless obsession so you'd better never fly a

to switch tanks during flight.

We have too many experts around here already. I just come hear to read, but
got tired if the Bertie the Bull**** show. I could agree with it when it was
used to discourage Mxmanic, but now Bertie wants to moderate the entire
group. I think I have already told you this once, but what the hell, maybe
some of the other readers could use a reminder as well.

Exactly, since you no nothing about me, and I feel no need to profess myself
as an expert, you can do nothing but wonder.

You seem to be good at imaging a lot of things Stealth, and what you
actually choose to specualte is very revealing.

I had been answering your posts, because up until now I had given you much
more credit than just being another sock puppet for Buttlipps. But if
that's where you intend to hitch your reputation with this group, it is
certainly your choice to do so.

But I waste little time arguing with Bertie's puppets, like gregvk, Ahrens,
George and Dudley. I guess I will just have to add you to the list, and
ignore your nonsense in the future as well.

I'm not one of Berties sock puppets at all.
I've always found him to be an intelligent aviation enthusiast. I just
wish you were as well.

you have a character flaw. I sincerely hope that you are flying solo
when your cork pops when flying because I'm absolutely certain that
one day this character flaw will either do you in or cause you some
real financial pain.

the books published by Tony Kern on pilot self discipline are well
worth your reading them.

Everyone who disagrees with you is Bertie? I'm especially tickled by
your identification of Rich as a Bertie sockpuppet. That's just
hilarious.

Isn't it? Especially since I've been posting as myself, using my real
name, since the mid-90s and have met many R.A.* habitues face to face
(including Bertie). Just goes to show how bad Maxie's judgment is. Or

I wonder. We do a lot of stuff like that (CRM training) and it is
worthwhile to do. It's also fashionable amongst pilots to poo poo it and
say the training is a waste of time because "you either got it or you
don't" and to a large extent that's true too. Someone who has at least
some ability will figure out most of the requirements for good CRM
himself. They're mostly pretty obvious. However, most people do benefit
from CRM training. In every group of humans ( bit of a stretch to
include Maxie, admittedly) you have the famous bell-shaped curve. In the
middle you have the vast majority who will respond to further education
to a greater or lesser degree. On the right you have guys who don't,
never have and never will need any training in it. I've met about five
of these in my life, BTW and they're amazing people to watch work. On
the left you have Maxwell, who can't even figure out what a sockpuppet
is...
You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, IOW>.

Surely you jest?

The damage done to this group by "Bertie" is several grades of magnitude
greater than MX, Maxwell, or any other troll I've seen in the last decade.
To grace him with the label "intelligent aviation enthusiast" is an insult
to every real pilot on this group.

The mental illness that induces him to spew his poisonous attitude all over
this group has effectively driven every poster of note away from
rec.aviation. If you doubt that, I could list their names for you -- but it
makes me want to puke.

Hope to see ya over on Pilots of America, where hopefully the Berties of the
world are kept on a short leash...

Oh so your lame ass, revised, "trolling" technique of the moment is
that you're trying to get people to x-post into some other
froup...yeah, liak all the regs there haven't figured it the **** out
how to filter out cross posted content. Duh uh, think REAAAL slow

~*magical*~ coincidence that NONE of them are replying to this ****?
Oh, oh, free cl00 MORON, it's cause THEY CAN'T ****ING SEE IT. Hurr,
hurr, hurr, somebody sure is a ****in idiot.

Yer no troll, Greggie, just a ****witted newb-tard sittin in the
bottom of a bunch of people's xpost filters. *snicker*

Do you want to me explain yer lil x-no-archive header tag next,
Greggie-kins? Or have you finally stopped believing that I'm haxoring
into Google and deleting out all your posts?

no.
I am a usenet afficionado.
I too remember the days when the designers and the doers were posting
here but I can also remember that they had razor wits that make some
of the current clan look like they use plastic knives.
usenet for all its wrinkles is where I enjoy the scenery.

Yeah, me too. I have too many forums to monitor already; I won't add
another.

The great thing about Usenet is, one software and one command (ctrl-H
in my case) does it all.
