So if a weary Australian traveller was to present himself at LAX on the 18th
August. who would be available to show one the best shooting spots :-)

There aren't that many for civilians. Many spots have been lost due to
security paranoia. The 3 best places I have found, are a dedicated viewing
area in El Segundo, on the south side of the airport. It's on a hill with a
road that runs parallel with West Imperial Highway. Another is from the
parking lot at the Proud Bird Restaraunt, near the east end of the south
runways, on Aviation Blvd. You will recognize it, as it has both replicas
and warbirds on the lawn facing the airport. And, if you eat there, there
are historice aviation pictures throughout the building. And, there is a
little park next to an In & OUT burger joint. On Sepulvida Blvd, at the
northeast corner of the north runway, in Westchester. You don't really need
a guide. I think most airport personnel could direct you there.

Thanks for that. I looked on google maps and see they spelt my name wrong.
Glenn Anderson Freeway is close enough :-)
Must have got lost in the traslation or misquted in teh accent difference
between us Aussies and you Americans's :-)

Don't worry, we've already spoken :-)
nice photos from Octave, I hadn't marked that on my list of places to shoot
between wright patterson and Oshkosh.
Now got it penned in, just have to find the time :-)
