View Full Version : Region 9 Parowan 2008

Another fantastic Parowan meet is complete. Thanks to all those who
brought their energies to bear to make it all run so smoothly. It was
an exceptional field of pilots this year and the task committee, led
by Charlie Lite, made near-perfect calls on all seven days allowing 55
gliders to log something like 85,000 cross-country miles at task
speeds of up to 96 mph. Well done!

For those who left before noon Sunday you might be interested to know
that a large thunderhead now sits over Brian Head shadowing most of
the local area - the monsoons held off just long enough this year!

I echo Andy's comments that Region 9 was fantastic this year; great
contest management and crew, great town, outstanding weather, and
great group of pilots and crews. Still in post racing blues, hard to
wake up this morning and not go out and prep a glider for racing.
Looking forward to next year already!
