What did I miss?

I've been out of RAP for about 9 months due to a crazy work schedule and a
blown up pc. But I reconnected with my news server last week....and wow.

What has happened to our group? R.A. Student is even worse?

Is this a sign of the crappy state of GA or just another example of
unmoderated newsgroups dying out due to the crap some people post?

slowly, then in groups, most of us have migrated over to Pilots of
America -- a wonderfully moderated group that simply won't put up with that

The interface takes getting used to, but I've discovered that by changing
some settings you can make it look very "Usenet-ish". The content is
unbeatable, and posts are (mostly) professionally, on-topic, and respectful.

I still pop in here from time to time, mostly out of habit, and can only
shake my head at what's happened here. It's a damned shame, but all it took
was one mentally ill dude (with literally all-day to post) with a dedication
to drive everyone away. I wouldn't have believed it possible, if I hadn't
seen it happen.
