I know of 2 Citabria tugs in SW USA. One used to be at Turf soaring,
contact Roy Coulliette for info. The other was at AGCSC So Cal, sorry
don't have any contact info. The 150 engined Citabria is not a great
tow plane for the high density altitudes seen in SW USA. I've been on
the front of that rope a few times and always felt much better when I
got the Scout. In UK, tows with a Citabria were more comfortable.

Also the Citabria at Morganton NC has one. Call Brandon at Speedbird
Aviation (1-828-757-0099)

have you tried contacting American Champion Aircraft?
they build the Citibria and offer tow releases as an option.
I also have TOST Tow Supports for the Citibria

Purchasing the hook from American Champion is the simplist I have done
or had this done twice in the past few years. Since it is then
original equipment it only takes a mechanics signature that it has
been installed and an adjustment to the Weight and Balance.
