Bonjour & Hello!
A few quick questions about FLARM and transponders in France:
1.) Is FLARM required?
2.) When/where are transponders required?
3.) Are Mode-C transponders still legal in France, or are they all
Mode-S now?
Merci & Thanks!

Not legally, but some big clubs require one (specially in the southern Alps)

Transponders are sometimes required to obtain a clearance in D class
airspace. Most of gliders flying in France are not equipped

Flew last month in St. Auban. FLARM in all gliders at field. Do not
remember seeing any transponders but they may have been there I just
didn't notice and was not told to activate.
