YOU may have posted only 258 messages, but in my server I found almost
10,000 headers of postings all approx. 600kB in size.
That is not flooding, it is more like a tsunami.
Why don't you just post a link to your website, so people can go there and
download to their hearts' desire?

In the past you were such a prolific poster of great pictures. What happened
to you? What went wrong?

Herman

When he said "intent to flood", these were the only replies:

Bring 'em on and thanks!
Don't worry about size, like your woman tells you...
"The Bigger the Better!"
Enjoyed your NASA shots in the past, look forward to these.

Great ! :-))) Thanks

In advance, thanks. I love hi rez pics. And to wind up the moaners who
will "ooohh, my bandwith hurts!", use Yenc or whatever its called.

When my brother Donnie got home from a five-month deployment
of his submarine, he told us one of the ways the sailors kept up
their morale was by making wooden cars out of kits and then
running derby races.

"What do you do for a ramp?" I asked.

"Don't need one. We just put the cars on the floor and then tilt
the sub."

He's still a prolific poster; he's just getting more efficient about
it. :)

I believe that hielan' laddie did a good job explaining why you see so
many files; Outlook Express sees the chunks as distinct files, instead
of multiple parts of a single, larger post.

If J3 stuck to the 250/day rule, it would take him 41 days to post all
of these.

It may have been more effective to post separate collections by (say)
mission, but I don't know how J3 has his folders set up. That might
not be workable for him.

Does OE have any sort of "join sections" menu option? There are
certain posters (Europe generally) whose work always shows as
fragmented, even with Agent 1.92 (I hate the newer interface). So if I
really want to download the post, I sort messages by subject, which
should get all the chunks (part 2 of 32, part 3 of 32, etc) in order,
then tag & join.

On the other hand, if the post truly pains you, just killfile J3, or
maybe killfile the subject "NASA HiRes Shuttle Pics" for the next
week. I've done the latter before when someone puts up a long-ish post
on a topic I'm not interested in. No big deal, I just don't see the
point in keeping the headers if I'm not going to download them.

Easy-peasy.
