View Full Version : Intent to Flood - large IMJ pictures

I am going to post a flood of large IMJ pictures

IMJ pictures are bitmaps with a more efficient color palette.
Each picture is 6000 x 5000 pixels large 85 Mb in size.

The scans are not very good quality, but resized they are good enough.

I have 2 Gig, so this will take several days.

Greets & enjoy

O my God

And you're gonna do this using MSOE? This I've _got_to see.

Of course, this could just be a joke made by someone from Belgium and whose
ISP has an abuse address of .

Their ISP has a note which reads, in English and (I think) Walloon,
correction requested on that:

To report intrusion attempts, hacking, spamming, or other unaccepted behavior
by a Telenet/Pandora customer, please send a message to

Voor het rapporteren van inbraakpogingen, hacking, spamming, of ander
onaanvaardbaar gedrag van een Telenet/Pandora klant, gelieve een bericht te
zenden naar

Their ISP has a physical address of:

Telenet Operaties N.V.
Liersesteenweg 4
B-2800 Mechelen
Belgium

and they are assigned the IP block 81.164.0.0 - 81.164.255.255. The poster
him/herself was posting from 81.164.121.107, using MSOE 6, probably running
on MS Windows XP SP2. (That's not certain. He/she could be using XP SP3 or,
perhaps, Windows Server 2003.)

It would be a great pity if this were really just a joke as I'd just love to
see those pix in all their high-res glory. As MSOE people can post such high
res pix, it's clear that no-one will complain if I were to post pix at
slightly lower res (say, 1500x1500...) and as he plans to use .imj
(basically, a .jpg with a .bmp header, and a format that some graphix apps
such as my personal fav, Graphic Converter, will handle without a problem but
which basic apps from Mickeysoft may have problems with) if I were to use
something less exotic, such as png, this would also be acceptable.

Stand by for inbound pix at 1500x1500, in .png. Enjoy.

(BTW, Alan-me-lad, this is an example of how to use headers, and why forging
headers is a TOS offence at Newsguy. You _have_ contacted Newsguy re my
'forged' headers, haven't you?)

Of course it's a joke, in fact it's a parody on the latest events.

No not Walloon, it is Dutch, Telenet or Pandora is not available in the
French part of Belgium.

Far too much to go into in detail. It starts with the Giant Single Monolithic
Database structure and moves on from there. In particular, I don't think that
you can send or receive files that size using MSOE. At least you couldn't
back when I was using it.

Not a good one.

Thanks for the info about IMJ (tried Google but didn't come up with anything
useful, too many different results). Initially I thought it was an
abbreviatian I didn't recognize, but it's a file extension.
That it was a joke is something I already understood, considering J3's
asocial flood and the way you described in depth what your intentions were
;-).
