Jeff Bucchino, the Wizard of Draws, has created a cartoon rendering of
"Waddling Eagle," the "World Famous Flight Instructor." I love it. This
means a great deal to me.

Hmmm.

Actually, I've been meaning to work up a toon of the waddling eagle ever
since I saw Chris' sig, but just now found the time. It struck my
imagination and as I told Chris, it's one of those times when you have to
put it on paper to get it out of your head and make room for more. I thought
he'd get a kick out of it, so I sent him a copy.

Well, thanks, from someone not associated with it, at all. It made my day,
and to see some creativity injected into the group was a boost well needed.

Jim, I would love to be able to do something like that for the people here,
but it simply isn't practical anymore. My first website iteration started
out as a service like that: doing cartoons for free on request. As you can
imagine, it quickly became an overwhelming deluge and I was forced to start
charging money to get it under control.
If a creative spark hits me, and I have the time, I draw it. If I don't have
the time, I'll jot it down to remind me and keep it in my head where it gets
drawn and redrawn. As you might imagine, I have a fairly long list.

Jeff, I have the same list for things that "wouldn't take you (i.e. me) ten
minutes to design it is so simple" from a few dozen folks. It AIN'T easy
and it AIN'T a few minutes. As you say, the list just keeps getting longer.

Best regards; you do good work.

Funny. I have a few lists like that, too.

Jim's tech manuals are very well written and tested before they are
published.
