Don't know what happened...maybe Shaw dropped the ball...pictures coming
through again.
Any other Shaw customers out there with the same experience?

I have no way of knowing whether there is any merit to this or not.
But recently Telus ceased carrying ANY binary newsgroup whatsoever. So
if you think that there is somthing to a competitive marketplace then
maybe this could explain what Shaw is doing, or not doing as well.

Yes..I emailed them and got an answer that they has changed NEWS SERVERS..I
had to take out my old: Shawnews.ok.shawcable.net
Delete that account and REPLACE it with simply: news.shawcable.net
Then I had to delete my OLD subscribed groups and Re subscribe to the ones I
wanted.
This is the first crack at the new one and in this group, it pulled down
7315 New Msgs

Hi. Yep. SHAW changed servers but didn't bother telling anyone. An email
would have been nice. Oh well.

Glad you folks still have service. Poor souls in the US are subject,
once again, to the NET POLICE. Folks in the US should protest IN
FORCE, then they'll get service back. You do nothing, then they think,
oh well everyone is happy...ha ha
They gain money NOT providing newsgroups, so folks get on their ass.
Us folks living in Europe don't have this censorship BS.
The land of the FREE, needs lessons. So folks embarrass your provider
and congressperson or senator...GET THEM.
Otherwise don't bitch...lol
