As all the other fine shots give the aircraft designation I think it's only
right to give this shot similar treatment. Whilst the shot might be from a
sailplane in America it is in fact a DG-505 or DG-1000... they have almost
identical cockpits. Both gliders are products of DG Flugzeugbau, Germany.

Here is what it looks like from the outside.
