I suspect that the flight footage is real, its just the scale that you
are being deceived by. I think it is a scale model plane and the final
scene of the pilot releasing the canopy is where it has been doctored.
Its a power to weight thing. There was an F15 that is pretty well
documented that flew on a single wing. And there are a number of scale
models that have done it:
