other than for medical purposes has anyone seen powdered zinc oxide
that could be mixed with a second agent to produce a specific quantity
of zinc oxide liquid (which could then be sprayed or painted on)? -

Get it from any good ceramic/pottery supply.

Would you happen to know what the solvent would be to enable me to use
this as a light primer over steel? - Mike

Tempo make it in rattle cans. You'll see it sitting on the shelf
beside zinc chromate primer at your local pilot supply shop.

Yeah, I had read where somewhere just used the cans and that's
appearing to be the easiest option, if just a tad expensive; now if I
can find out if the Steward System glues are OK with zinc oxide and
two part expxy, I'll be in better shape - Mike
