View Full Version : HOT LANDING ?
December 6th 08, 08:30 PM
Page 27 of the December issue of Soaring magazine shows a pic of an
LS-10 at the 2008 WGC seemingly very low over the ground and "about to
touch down" . The picture does not show the landing gear down. Does
anyone know the outcome of this particular landing ?

Most likely the picture was incorrectly captioned. I recall seeing it
and thinking it was a low altitude, high-speed pass.

..... and still dumping ballast. Another example can be found in the
2008 SSA calendar - October. Very similar except they're not dumping
ballast.
