There have been many discussions about the best way to lean, the best way to
operate your aircraft engine for good longevity, and more. Lycoming has an
EXCELLENT article about engine operations, it's very long but full of good
information. I learned a lot about proper leaning, cold weather operations
and more that I'd not known before. If you're interested you can find the
