Dear all,

I'm from the Netherlands and will be in San Diego for work for about a
week in March. I might have a spare day or afternoon to spend on some
soaring in the area.

I have flown at Cal. City a long time ago and was impressed (by the
desert, the wave and the metal from Edwards) - but that's too much of
a drive from San Diego. Still, repeating the experience would be
great !

Any recommendations for sites where an 'advanced ride' (I have around
~800 hrs) would be possible, at a reasonable driving distance from San
Diego would be appreciated.

Greetings !
Dirk, The Netherlands.

....Here's another recommendation for Warner / Sky-Sailing. Its about
45 mins to 1 hour from San Diego (depending on where you're
staying).

They don't have a lot of fancy/new equipment, but they're good people
and you'll get a good ride / flight out there. Fun terrain, too!

Enjoy,

(in Seattle, but got my glider rating at Sky Sailing and will be there
again in April for my first Regional Contest - huzzah!)
