top it off, I'm no hot shot at capturing fast moving objects with a

Hi,
I think you'll find that this bird is a Piaggio (1180??). I saw one at the
Changi air show, when I was in Singapore. I hope this helps.

That's a Piaggio Avanti II. See <http://www.piaggioaero.com/en/>. They're
kinda distinctive: canard foreplane, pusher turboprops, T-tail.
