I'm looking at this picture for a good 30 seconds or more, looking for the
damn Hercules......

.....then the light came on.....

I'm not slow, it's just how they dress me.

Funny, I pictured a Herc with lots of antennae hanging off it.... ;-)

Sorry about that. Never even thought of it that way. How many hours have I
flown in C-130's :-)

Probably enough to not use the pee-o-phone unless you see someone else use
it first.

Only the Caribous had them. When I used the Herc, we had a plush toilet up
the back ;-)
although I did see a loadie use the **** Phone on the Caribou with another
caribou up our arse for a photo shoot once :-)

Here's one. The camo's almost as good as that on Glenn's shots. I
think I actually went blinder when I opened it...

There's something about the Herc - Even though it's over 50 years old, it
still looks like it's 'new' - maybe 'purposeful' is a better word.

The Hercs I flew (A & E Models) certainly had a "****-o-phone" down
the back. People were discouraged from using the "thunder-box"
nearby ("Plush" or "Flush" it wasn't) under pain of emptying it on
arrival.

That seems to be my recollection too. My last ride on a Herc was in
'77 or '78, I don't recall what model it was (nor even the colour) - but
from the era, it was probably an 'A'.

We were told horror stories that the ground crew could turn the outside vent
tube around, so the funnel blows instead of sucking (it's gotta suck).

The toilet facilitiy on the Hueys is totally different, from what I could
tell of my ride; the objective was for the passengers to pee in their pants.
