View Full Version : LS4 GPS ant location

I am planning to mount a GPS/NAV M10 in a LS4. The unit is mounted in the
baggage area. I know 2 LS pilots had to mount the antenna remote from the
unit to get a signal (LS6, LS3) and a ASW 19 owner had no problem with
signal in the package area.

Antenna mount in package area would be easier, so is preferred.

Looking for experienced advice, preferrably LS4 drivers.

Thanks in advance

I've flown LS-4, 6 and 7 with a GPS-NAV 10 or 20 in the baggage area.
Wasn't a problem. Might be if you pile too much gear on top, or if
it's right next to a metal battery box like the Dittel.
The original model 10 antenna tends to flop over. Either use a flat
external antenna or put a rubber O-ring inside the BNC connector.
