View Full Version : Unit identity request

Hoping somebody here who understands US Army unit structure better
than I (this would include most everyone on the planet as well as many
multi-cellular lifeforms...) might help on the operator for this
UH-60L that came through Boeing Field a couple days ago.

I'm guessing it might be based at Fort Lewis a few tens of miles south
of Seattle, and perhaps Army Reserve or Washington Army National Guard
- and thinking the patch on the engine housing is a Big Clue - but I'm
still drawing a blank.

Coinkydinkally, one web source indicates this aircraft served with the
Colombian Air Force for a spell in the 1990s, which might account for
the repainted patch on the tail boom and unusually located "United
States Army" text.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

He also may have been right, while not a 101st unit, the serial fits into
the birds first assigned to the 160ST SOAR NightStalkers Group based at FT
Campbell. however in your photo and the photo I found, shes a Blackhorse
bird now...
