For some of the same reasons some people build a 250mph airplane
instead of just buying one, when they have the money.

It's about solving problems, learning, and achieving something that
few people can, or will, do.

Dammit, got coffee all over the damn keyboard again.

What the fu....

Better be careful with that throttle, one jerk and he'll be left there sans
bike and family jewels.

I can understand that, really, but that bike just isn't
practical in any way I can see. I know, I'd probably build
one myself but it's still a useless item.

This is a reminder that just because something is experimental, doesn't mean
it's "good".
And if nothing else, it can serve as a bad example.

It's cool, it's an accomplishment... but it's very silly.

Check out the RoadDog at
http://www.decaturcelebration.com/2003/roaddog.htm

Someone in WI owns a replica that was featured on one of the Discovery
shows not too long ago. If memory serves, it weighed in at 3200 lbs.

Around 3GV MANY Chevy V-8 powered bikes can be seen.
Not to say they are status symbols, but they ain't cheap.
However, not much more than a new Harley-D.

Road Dog was a factor in these better bikes being built.

Lotsa V-8 bikes around, do a Google search on Boss Hoss... and a lot more
practical than Road Dog (as if that were even remotely an issue :p)
Here's one for sale:

I've seen 5.4L V8's on motorcycles. They don't even have to use a
transmission. Thing has plenty of torque in direct drive.

Inform us all of how your "Lite-Whitening" or whatever is coming along
latchless ass-wipe, before you go asking about someone else's
stuff......besides how you made it lighter by drilling all those
unneccessary holes and dirtying up the floor.

Why, you ask, it has to do with penis size.

Well, see, John, the thing is, if you have to ask, you probably wouldn't
understand.
