Last year we ran a little low on beer, so Orion has 30 gallons brewing
for April 27-May 2nd. You can view the labels at http://region12.deltavictor8.com/
under "eat and sleep"

Sean Franke again will be task dictator and Dan Ladd will hopefully be
the voice of reason again.

There will be dinner at the airport or locally every night. Rooms are
still available at the Warner Springs Ranch and you can spend the
evenings soaking in the mineral springs.

Send your crew to www.warnersprings.com

There are 4 people that have been so kind to send deposits with 4 more
that have sent in an application.

If you are anticipating on coming and would like a personalized Region
12 Pint Pub Glass you will need to register soon. I will need to place
the order before I leave to Slovakia to fly in the Pribina Cup (April
6th).

Hope to see a few more of you here.

Well I don't know about you-all, but I'm pumped to be heading down
there for my first contest!

I know of one or two other first-timers who will be showing up, so
folks on the west coast should either (a) come and try competition
soaring and not be intimidated by the field, or (b) come and be a
"ringer"! :-) Either way, it'll be a good time.

Garret - I need a glass; but I'm going to have to find alternative
refreshment, as I'm allergic to hops. *sigh* Not to worry, though;
its a medical excuse to skip straight to the hard stuff! :-)

Is any further information available in regards to camping /
facilities? I don't need access to the Ranch - but I have a small pop-
up camper/trailer for myself and another competitor (already spoken
for), and we're looking for the best place to put it during the
contest (will just be used for sleeping, after the flying and partying
is all done).

Thanks, take care,

If I can squeeze the R12 contest in between my club "duties", I shall
be there! Garret, I had a great time last year...wave, thermal,
slope, it was all there...but floating on my back in the Olympic sized
Warner Springs Ranch hot pool staring up into the heavenly stars is a
brain wash all in itself worth the price of admission ....
