The Sioux was the first helicopter I ever saw close up. I think, for a
piston-driven bird, it is a beautiful expression of the design principle of
form following function. Its design also appears to have been done by a
minimalist. (You will note that it is an artefact in the architecture and
design section of the MOMA, so it is not there so much as a piece of art as an
expression of craft.)

Not having been to the NY MOMA I presumed that it was there as a work
of modern art, and I wondered why. Is it the only aircraft there?
