Is the front part of this a mock-up? the engine cowl looks rather
out of shape, and the spinner seems to be attached to the cowl
(virtually no clearance to allow for rotation). The attached photo
of a similar aircraft, from Airliners Net, looks a bit more realistic
in that area.

Damaged following a collision with telegraph wires in 1938; partially
restored in 1962. So probably not a mock-up, but a combination of damage &
inexpert restoration.
