View Full Version : Nurflügel is ready

April 17th 09, 09:29 AM
The flying wing sailplane that took 10 years to build is finally ready
and awaiting it's test flights. It is loosely based on Horten gliders.
It is built using balsa and various FRP compunds. It has two engines
and side stick. It has never flown yet.

One can see it here: http://www.purilend.ee/v/users/alari/Vaidtiib/

Very interesting and really neat looking. Please keep posting as you progress on this project. It looks very much like the "Cage" from the Atos rigid wing hand glider company, except much more sleek. Great work!

When you say twin engine, I'm assuming it uses small turbojets that
are housed under the hatches in the aft fuselage.

Great project, wishing you all the best in flight testing.

Sorry, but I forgot to say that this is NOT my project, but a friend
of mine doing. He's name is Peep Lauk. I'm just a spokesperson :-)
