Over 100 of Charlie's family and local friends attended a memorial service
in Charlotte Saturday, May 18.
Charlie's other "family" will gather at Cordele, Ga on Saturday, May 9 for a
memorial/celebration in his honor. Social activities will begin around 5PM
at the Cordele Airport and then continue at the Rainey Funeral Home, 1415
East 24th in Cordele at 7PM.
No traditional service is planned, rather there will be a slide show lasting
10 or so minutes, and then the remainder of the service will be given to
tributes, memories, anecdotes, and thoughts that those present may wish to
contribute.
A video recording of the service will be made and it will be available for
sale later.
In the interest of efficient planning the organizers would like to have an
