The Bruntingthorpe show had Cold War aircraft doing taxi runs down the
runway. Lightning, Canberra and Buccaneer among others. Apparently, the
Victor charged down the runway where there was a strong crosswind and
rotated. A lightly loaded Victor II would just leap into the air. It
landed back on the ground after its brief flight, shot off the runway and
came to rest within the airfield boundary.

A definite case of underwear to the wash! Thanks goodness there was no
damage to people or equipment.

Just a case of a great aircraft wanting to do what it was built to do FLY.
Now where do we sign up to get a victor back in the air.
glad no one was hurt tho wish i could have seen it.
