Ditto. The Thompson Twins, Captain Haddock
and of course "Snowy". Other guys read the
the usual superhero comic books, I gravitated
to Tintin and Classics Illustrated.
Like Clark Kent and Lois Lane, Tintin was
a reporter who never seemed to write anything -
but who cared.....

I never read Tintin in English, so I did not know until I read your post about
the reference to Tintin in the name of the pop trio. I only knew the Tintin
characters as "Dupont et Dupond."

Reading Classics Illustrated saved me from blowing more than one English test.
