I know nothing about this picture other than it was used to illustrate a news
story about someone being imprisoned in Russia for trying to supply fake
spares for MIGs (and/or MiGs).
I assume the scythe was not part of the evidence.

Around the late 1950s or so, I found a neglected scythe in rather-good
condition, sharpened it, and tried it. I was amazed by its ergonomics; it
was as if it had been optimized over centuries.
