The World Air Games are on at Torino, Italy. There is a very cool
live feed of the soaring races:

VERY enjoyable watching the race live, while sitting at home in
Colorado in the rain. Grand Prix racing is great!

I was late for work as I couldn't leave until someone finished!
Excellent presentation and very watchable even with a relatively slow
DSL link.

Good fun watching Chip rethink his decision on the ridge and later dig
himself out of the hole. Looks like he may be second for the day.

The two German pilots' trackers were not working. Apparently they
came in 1 & 2. Chip may be 5th for the day. He finished under the
1,100m minimum altitude, then found some lift and went around and
finished again. Looks like it was a very tough day.

Yeah, the missing trackers.....
Big penalties handed out and the day devalued also.

Ok thanks! So the penalties were not for the German pilots for having
inoperative trackers which is what I had assumed from Frank's post.

Sorry for any confusion, the missing trackers sort of spoiled the
online viewing.
Land outs devalued the day.
Penalties?
Frank.

The penalties were probably for finishing under the 1,100m finish
line. They didn't affect the results because the pilots were the last
ones to make it back.
