OLC Smiley Face

Hi Pilots,

I have tried to contribute twice using the link from the site. It
seemed to work fine except no smiley face and no charges to my credit
card. Has anyone else had this problem? Solutions?

Same here. I sent an email into OLC help but have not had anything
back on this one.

I contributed last year (or the year before).

Multiple emails did no good.

I value OLC whether I get a smiley face or not. Nonetheless, I'd
prefer to have it.

I don't know if everyone who gets a smiley face donated. I do know
that not everyone who donates get's a smiley face.

What happens sometimes is, SOME cards will not allow a foreign
payments, or payments outside of your normal card usage. It raises an
automated red flag thinking it may be a bogus charge, denying
payment, and they do not bother to contact the card holder about the
transaction. Happened to me three times with OLC ,and then I
remembered an attempted payment for a European vario not going
through a few years ago. When I contacted the Visa card bank, they
informed me of their polocy.

After remembering this I used a different card and the OLC payment
went through.

Anyone who has donated and not received a smiley icon:
Try looking at all of your OLC flights by clicking on your name.
When I do that there is a smiley icon. There isn't one elsewhere
(daily score, champion, etc).
I believe this is a bug in their software.

The OLC site may be having some issues. Over the last week or so,
I've noticed interesting things, like when I bring up "My Club" I see
flights that indicate a very short duration and very few (under 10)
points, but if you select the 'info' for the flight, it comes up with
the correct duration/distances/points. They seem to get it worked out
in relatively short order though....
