All,
There are two events starting today that we have setup SPOT tracking
for. Those being the Region 9 contest at Logan, UT and the Region 10
South contest at Brenham, TX. Here are the URL's.
Logan:
http://www.spot-tracking.com/files/tracking.htm - Google Maps page
http://www.spot-tracking.com/files/tracking.kml - For Google Earth.
Best to download the kml file and then double click on it to start
Google Earth.
http://www.spot-tracking.com/spotlist - This just displays a list of
all of the SPOTS that I have configured into the application.
Brenham:
Google Maps - http://r10southtracking.jgate.de/files/tracking.htm
http://r10southtracking.jgate.de/files/trackingsmall.htm - This is one
created by the Junior Worlds guys that doesn't have the pane for the
control points.
http://r10southtracking.jgate.de/files/trackinglarge.htm - This one is
similar to the small one above but is just a larger map.
Google Earth - http://r10southtracking.jgate.de/files/tracking.kml
SPOT List - http://r10southtracking.jgate.de/spotlist
The google earth representation is by far the best as I have the
ability to rotate the icons to show a general direction of travel.
Note that these contests are just getting started and there aren't too
many in there yet. I expect that Micki Minner (Logan) and Frank
Paynter (Brenham) will be rounding up more SPOTS to get into the
tracking over the next couple of days. I think both are in practice
days for the next day or so.
Later!
