We are flying out of the Talihina airport. Max altitude reached for the day was just over 11,000 feet. Three flights got above 10,000 feet. Two flights have been posted on OLC. Max altitude reached for the day was just over 11,000 feet.
Three flights got above 10,000 feet. Two flights have been
posted on OLC. We were hoping for ridge flight on Sunday.
The winds blew strong out of the North, but with cloud base
never got above the top of the ridge.
If any of you are from the states surrounding Oklahoma and
you want to fly during the you off season, join us in Talihina.

a Sikorsky S-76c yesterday around 3:30 PM CST. There were 8 fatalities
and one survivor. The ship picked up 7 passengers at Amelia, LA and
was about 7 minutes into the flight when it went down in a marsh. I've
checked the NTSB website, but so far there's no info. listed. Anyone
else got more info. on this crash?

I don't recall PHi having a base at Amelia, so I'm assuming for now
that this ship may have been based at Houma, LA. My Dad was stationed
at that heliport for several years and probably maintanied this ship
at one time or another.

Reality is this old LBA Ad to replace Tost hooks every 2000 launches is
just a money making exercise. These hooks made by Otfur as good, if not
better workmanship and aleviates having to replace them for this AD.

Any helps would be gratifully appreciated.
