Fuel Prices For The July Pilgrimage by
Jim Burns[_3_]
Ahh... I forget. Airnav beats 100LL hands down with mogas pricing.
Airnav shows mogas on Airnav, but 100LL.com doesn't.
100LL.com doesn't list Portage either.
Are there any other fuel price sites?
Sorry if my posts are out of "sync", but what is up with the groups?

Soft field landings - low wing vs high wing aircraft by
Justin Gombos

grass strip, because the extra ground effect could mitigate hard
landings and keep the ride smooth. But I recently read that some
fields are rough enough that rocks, bushes and debris can hit or snag
on the flaps.
I'm interested...

DUATS problem by

Haven't used DUATS in quite awhile as I've just been doing local flights,
but I tried it yesterday adn I can't get anything out of it. I enter the
script for an area brief and when I hit the send button, I get connected,
but it comes up with a line that asks for my password or last name. I have...

Garmin 430/530 up north? by
CaptainCraig
Hi,
Has anyone had the opportunity to use a Garmin 430/530 north of the
60th parallel?
I'm talking Inuvik, Rankin Inlet, Iqualuit...
I am not finding anything in the Garmin manual and I know that
satellite coverage is questionable, I am just wondering how it would
affect day-to-day operations.

While Holding for a Briefing Today... by

I was on the phone for the now-traditional 15 minute pre-brief hold today
and they had a new voice on the "hold line". Instead of an announcement
every 45 seconds about how busy they are and calls are taken on a first come
first served basis, and we'll take your call ASAP, there was a message...

AOPA Flight Planner problem by
B A R R Y
Does anyone know where the Hartford (CT) VOR (HFD) went? G
My installation seems to be missing HFD all of a sudden. V99, V3, and
V58 end at a white hole. It was there last week!
Does anyone else have this problem, or is it my installation?
Thanks!

What's the best way to fly a zero G parabola? My kids are hooked on them and
they're actually learning some science from it. I'd like to get a little
more duration without getting too fast.
I usually do a little climb until the speed bleeds off some and then push
over firmly. Should I pull the...
